Becker Flugfunkwerk GmbH was founded by Max Egon Becker at the Baden-Baden aerodrome in 1956. In 1960, four years after being set up, the Becker company brought the world’s first transistorised single-block airborne receiver onto the market.
As technology developed, the company produced a comprehensive, high-quality range of communications and navigation products which are used all over the world in military and civil aircraft. Right from the beginning all development activities were oriented to user-friendliness, low weight, small installation dimensions and simplicity of use of this equipment.
For more than thirty years, BECKER has been a qualified partner of,and supplier to, the German Armed Forces in the fields of VHF/AM flight safety RT, navigation receivers, switch-on and intercom equipment as well as emergency RT equipment.
BECKER as innovative high-tech company is working on the latest navigation systems based on satellite navigation and colour LC displays, and in the business area, is developing avionics, flight safety ground systems and search and rescue equipment.
Under the leadership of Roland Becker as sole proprietor, together with his management team, Becker Flugfunkwerk has become an independent company which employs some 100 people at its Baden Airpark location in Rheinmünster.
To take account of the requirements on the international market the Becker Group has established branches around the world. |
